Welcome to the web site of the Sheffield Society of Aeromodellers (SSA). We are a large group of aeromodellers mainly from the Sheffield UK area with
many model flying interests - including slope soaring, indoor RC, electric power RC, helicopters, control line and free flight including F1E Magnet.
The club has a number of slope and electric flying fields in and around Sheffield. There are also fortnightly club meetings including model shows, swap
meets / auctions, meals and demonstrations.
We produce and distribute "Gladys International", our bi-monthly news letter, posted to club members and onto the club's yahoo! forum as well. Articles
and features are always eagerly welcomed.

The indoor flying season has now started at the University Sports Hall, Northumberland Rd. We have three alternating sessions of 15 mins
each for slow fly models, shockies and small helicopters. Indoor flying is available to all SSA members. Times are 9am - 11am

Flying Fields Wanted
The Sheffield Society of Aeromodellers are always looking for new flying fields. We only fly electric aircraft so noise is not an issue. If
you know of any suitable locations or have a field for rent please contact us
