SSA Flying sites - Maps and directions

We fly slope gliders at Callow Bank, just North of Hathersage and about 7 miles South West of Sheffield. We have slopes that are good for Westerly, Southerly and Easterly winds. The parking is generally good and there is a mown landing area for the Westerly slope.

Hathersage has the Pool Cafe that is open most of the time and serves hot and cold snacks and meals as well as providing phone ordering and take away service - very usefull.

Flat Field and Indoor

We have several flat fields suitable for electric and bungee models, and we are always looking for new sites.

Indoor flying throughout the winter for electric models including helicopters is flown in a sports hall in Sheffield - please feel free to contact us for direction and dates.
